A Modern Home with Room to Breathe — Full Acre, Lake Lanier Lifestyle, and Space to Dream

Imagine starting your mornings with the soft sound of birds and ending your evenings under a sky full of stars. Just minutes from Lake Lanier, this 2021-built home offers the relaxed rhythm of lake life — whether you love fishing, kayaking, or sunset cruises on the water. Set on a full acre that includes the adjoining lot at 5240 Laurel Lane, this property combines modern comfort with space to breathe. The light-filled kitchen is the heart of the home, featuring white cabinetry, granite countertops, stainless appliances, and a spacious pantry with room to add a mudroom. It opens to a comfortable family room overlooking the fenced backyard, perfect for casual gatherings after a day on the lake. Upstairs, the primary suite feels like a private retreat with its custom walk-in closet and spa-style bath. Two additional bedrooms and an oversized laundry room keep life organized and easy. The unfinished terrace level, already framed and stubbed, offers endless possibilities for a guest suite, gym, or media room. Step outside and you’ll find spaces designed for connection and calm — a rocking-chair front porch, multi-level decking with seasonal lake views, and a custom garden shed that could be a studio, workshop, or peaceful escape. Recent updates include fresh interior paint (2025), a multi-level deck and walkway to the garden shed (2023), whole-house well water filtration with UV light (2022), and terrace-level waterproofing (2022). Life here is about savoring the outdoors and being just moments from Lake Lanier, Don Carter State Park, the Atlanta Botanical Gardens Gainesville campus, and north Georgia hiking trails. Convenient to the new Publix at Riverbrook Village, yet a world away from city noise;  this is lake living at its best.

Don Carter State Park

Don Carter is the only state park on 38,000-acre Lake Lanier. Situated on the north end of the reservoir, the park offers outstanding recreation for water lovers. Boat ramps provide quick access to the lake and Chattahoochee River, while a multi-use trail welcomes hikers and equestrians to explore the hardwood forest. Guests can stay cool at a large, sand swimming beach with bath house.

This park offers several choices for overnight getaways as well. Two-bedroom cabins are perched on wooded hillsides near the lake. One campground is designed specifically for RVs, while another primitive camping area is just for tents and hammocks. The campground and cottage loop is gated, providing access to overnight guests.

The park is named in honor of real-estate executive Don Carter who served on the Georgia Department of Natural Resources board for 29 years and worked to establish Lake Lanier’s first state park.
